What is Joy at the Capitol?
In celebration of America's 250th anniversary, long-time Austin residents living in nursing homes across the Greater Austin area have spent the past year creating artwork in honor of the Texas they remember, love, and cherish. For five days, their artwork will hang inside the Texas State Capitol, restoring agency, visibility, and honor to our community's elders.
This gathering is not a fundraiser.
It is an opportunity to connect with peers and witness firsthand how the collective power of community can transform lives, restore dignity, and honor our region's long-time residents.

11:00-11:30a: Welcome and private first-look gallery access
11:30a-12:00p: Executive briefing from program leadership on the power of community
12:00-1:00p: Refreshments and leadership networking with peers committed to driving meaningful, lasting impact across Central Texas
