Spare Arts Volunteer Hours

​Help us sort donated art supplies and pack craft kits for our Spare Arts Supply stations. We get heaps of supplies donated every month, and we want to make sure they get into the hands of artists.

​During this shift, you'll be doing one of the following:

• ​Sorting loose or bagged items into categories (ie. Fiber Arts, Paint, Office Supplies)

• ​Freshening up supplies if needed—things like winding yarn into balls, removing lint from fabric, or tidying up a container of colored beads.

• ​Packing items into pre-planned kits based on a list provided by one of our Spare Arts Leads

• ​Labelling supplies and kits

​HOW TO GET TO THE STUDIO

​Our studio is located at 21-07 41st Avenue. When you get to the building, please open your phone, scan the large QR code pasted on the door, and find The Collaboratory in the directory to be buzzed in.

Once inside, you can take the elevator to Floor 2 and find us in Studio #213.

​​MASKS & ACCESSIBILITY

​The Collaboratory does not require masks during volunteer hours, but guests are welcome to mask if they prefer. We run two air filters/purifiers in the space to ensure air circulation.
