About Event

Join us for a summit on the future of participatory investing, hosted by Proximate in partnership with Common Future, New Economy Project and NYU Wagner.

At Proximate, we believe capital should move at the speed of trust. This fall, we’re piloting the first of a series of cross-sectoral convenings on the future of participatory investing.

Our guiding question: how can capital be governed by, for, and with the communities most impacted by extractive economic systems? Together we’ll explore what it takes to build lasting infrastructure for compassionate, community-led capital – grounding the conversation in New York City – in one of the most dynamic and unequal financial hubs in the world.

This event is first and foremost a space to connect with peers – practitioners, storytellers, and strategists who are working toward a new economy. Our purpose is to meet others in this field, hear what they’re learning and experimenting with, and lay the groundwork for new collaborations.
