Pils and Paperwork #2 — Freelancing in Germany (and How To Skip The Paperwork)
A chill after-work evening in Prenzlauer Berg: A drink at Sowohlalsauch, honest talks about freelance life and all the damn paperwork (and how we can help each other)
No slides or name tags. Just a small group of freelancers and those who are freelance-curious sitting outside a café on Kollwitzstraße, talking about the stuff that's hard to figure out on your own.
Whatever's on people's minds: finding clients (oof that's a big one), the Finanzamt, Scheinselbstständigkeit, rates, the admin nobody warns you about, and the parts of going solo that are great.
Bring yourself, grab a drink or a coffee at the bar, and pull up a chair. If the weather turns we move inside, and if the group feels like walking afterwards we walk. For freelancers, the solo self-employed, and anyone in Berlin thinking about going independent.
German or international, everyone is welcome, of course.
Hosted by me, Leo. I run Factofly in Germany, but this isn't a pitch. I spend most of my days talking to freelancers about exactly this stuff, and an evening at a café is much more fun than a webinar.
With Factofly, you can work on your own projects, get paid in Germany without registering a business or as a freelancer and skip all the annoying paperwork while staying compliant, insured and safe. https://factofly.de
