Working with Muslim Families: Practical Frameworks of Islamic Law for Clinicians
Join us for a live 4-part Therapist Clinical Integration Training designed to help clinicians strengthen their ability to work with Muslim individuals, couples, and families with greater confidence, nuance, and practical clarity.
This 12-hour Zoom training series is created for licensed therapists, counsellors, mental health professionals, and trainees who want to deepen their clinical understanding of family and marital dynamics in Muslim contexts through frameworks grounded in Islamic law and ethical reasoning.
Led by Dr. Mariam Sheibani, Assistant Professor of Islamic Thought and Founder of Ma‘ruf Commons, this series will offer clinicians a thoughtful and practice-relevant introduction to key Islamic frameworks that can inform case understanding, therapeutic conversations, and culturally attuned care with Muslim clients and families.
Rather than approaching these topics only at a theoretical level, this training is designed to help clinicians build greater professional confidence in navigating complex family realities that often arise in practice.
