π Al-Aafiyah: Towards Schoolwide Wellbeing - PD Day Training
βπ Al-Aafiyah: Towards Schoolwide Wellbeing
βProfessional Development Day for Educators
βPresented by Ruh, in collaboration with ISAC, with the generous support of Humaniti Foundation
βLed by Runda Ebied (OT), Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Ruh, with over a decade of experience working directly with schools, teachers, and students.
βEvery student learns, develops, and experiences school differently. What may look like disengagement, difficulty focusing, anxiety, or challenging behaviour can sometimes reflect a studentβs unique needs, experiences, or way of processing the world. Understanding these differences can help educators respond with greater compassion and create environments where students feel supported, understood, and able to thrive.
βAl-Aafiyah: Towards Schoolwide Wellbeing is a full-day professional development training designed to equip educators with practical tools and strategies to better support diverse learners, foster healthy classroom environments, respond to student mental health needs, and prioritize staff wellbeing. The training will be offered both in person and virtually, allowing educators and members of the wider community to join us from wherever they are.
βThroughout the day, we'll explore four key areas, with reflection exercises and practical case scenarios woven into each session.
βAs in-person capacity is limited, we encourage you to reserve your spot early if youβre hoping to join us in person, insha'Allah!

βThe certificate may be used as evidence of professional development, included in professional learning records, shared with a school or employer, and added to LinkedIn or other professional platforms.
βπ₯ Who Is This Training For?
βThis training is designed with educators and school staff in mind, but the virtual session is open to anyone interested in learning more about schoolwide wellbeing and how we can better support the children, educators, and communities around us.
βWhether you work in a school, support children and youth, work in mental health, or simply want to deepen your understanding of student wellbeing, you are welcome to join us virtually.
This Professional Development Day Training session is made possible through the generous support of @wearehumaniti and delivered in partnership with @theisacanada and @ruhcare π€²π»
βWe look forward to learning, reflecting, and exploring how we can nurture Al-Aafiyah amongst our schools.
