SINGirls Paradox ✨

Why does dating feel harder than ever—even when we're more connected than ever?

Many successful women today find themselves caught in a paradox. We long for meaningful relationships, yet modern dating can leave us feeling exhausted, confused, independent yet lonely, hopeful yet discouraged.

If you've ever wondered "Is it just me?", this evening is for you.

Join us for SINGirls Paradox - Expect real talk, not small talk - an evening that moves from icebreakers to small-group "Paradox Circles" to an open fireside conversation, all built around one throughline: the paradox of wanting connection while guarding your independence.

What’s on the night

🎉 Registration & Social Warm-Up - check in, grab a drink, ease into the room

🎲 Singles Mingles - a light, playful way to break the ice before the deeper stuff

💬 Paradox Circles -

Through facilitated Paradox Circles, you'll meet women navigating similar experiences, exchange perspectives, and discover practical ways to think differently about the challenges you're facing. We will group you into one of five themes:

  • Dating burnout

  • The expectations dilemma

  • Fear of commitment

  • Emotional availability

  • The self-sufficiency paradox

🔥 Fireside Chat - “Modern Women, Modern Independence: Why Is Meaningful Connection Becoming Harder?”, featuring Ms Rahayu Mahzam, Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of Health

This is moderated by Qi Zhai-Mccartney, the Founder of Atlas Therapy & Coaching, and a practicing psychotherapist executive coach, and public speaker.

🎤 Audience Q&A - bring your questions, this is a conversation, not a lecture

🥂 Community Mixer - open networking to close out the night

Whether you've been on countless dates, are taking a break from dating, or simply wondering why modern relationships feel so complicated, you'll leave with:

  • Greater clarity on the challenges you're facing practical insights from relationship experts and other women

  • reassurance that you're not alone

  • meaningful friendships with women who truly understand your journey

  • Renewed hope and confidence for the season ahead

Come as you are. Bring a friend. Enjoy dinner, honest conversations, and a meaningful pause to think about what connection really means in this season.

What to expect:
💬 A seat at the table for an honest, judgment-free conversation with women navigating the same questions you are
☕ A goodie bag valued at more than your ticket price

🔥One Month Premium Subscription to Coffee Meets Bagel app
✨ A community that doesn't stop when the night ends

About our moderator, Qi Zhai-Mccartney

Qi is the Founder of Atlas Therapy & Coaching, and a practicing psychotherapist, executive coach, and public speaker.

After graduating from Stanford University with her first Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, Qi began her career in New York.

Over nearly 20 years, Qi worked in buyside and sellside roles, including at Oliver Wyman, Credit Suisse, and Capital Group in the US, China, and Singapore. During COVID, Qi completed her second graduate degree and made a career transition to helping high-achieving professionals and teams build “relational intelligence.” Qi deeply believes that it is our ability to manage our own – and our teams’ - mindsets, emotions, communications, and conflicts that truly drives our success.

Qi frequently speaks at banks, tech firms, and global organisations on topics like overthinking, burnout, and mindset shifts required to move from executor to leader.

She is also a TEDx speaker, a two-time National Counselling & Psychotherapy Conference (NCPC) speaker, and a regional speaker who has delivered talks and workshops across Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
