[8/15] ECTC Elder Care Mahjong Social at Kin On - RSVP & Ticket Link

​Connect with your elders through mahjong with Emerald City Tile Club on August 15th, 1:30-4pm at Kin On (4416 Brandon St)! RSVP via $10 ticket is required - ALL TICKET PROCEEDS WILL GO TO KIN ON AS DONATIONS!! This event is not for new players, and it is encouraged that attendees be able to speak or understand Canto, Viet, or Mandarin.

​Mahjong is a native language and historical pastime for many Asian elders. It's an activity learned at family gatherings long before English or adopted-country customs entered their lives. For the elderly population at Kin On, playing mahjong is an opportunity to connect with a familiar source of enjoyment and happiness.

​Mahjong offers structure and rhythm to connect across generations. Through playing the game, we can communicate and connect without necessarily sharing language or life experiences.

​This event is an avenue for Emerald City Tile Club to give back to our local community and provide connection for Asian elders and their families through mahjong. Please join us for this unique and special event with Kin On!
