2027 Critical Technology Happy Hour
The NYC Founder Fellowship returns for its sixth year, supporting underrepresented founders building critical technology for the future. Led by Newlab with NYCEDC, Bank of America, and Gunderson Dettmer, the program equips 15 selected startups with the resources and network to scale in Brooklyn — including a year-long Newlab membership for up to two co-founders, hands-on technical support, investor connections, mentorship, and the opportunity to receive up to $150,000 in investment from Newlab.
To mark the opening of the 2027 cohort, Newlab invites prospective applicants to join us for a happy hour with fellow underrepresented founders, investors, the Newlab team, and operators in Critical Tech. Connect with the community, learn more about the fellowship, and ask questions about the program and its application process.
