Rooted Ummah Charity Iftar
Join us for the First Annual Rooted Ummah Fundraising Banquet: Charity Iftar on Saturday, May 23 from 8–10 PM, held during the blessed days of Dhu'l Hijjah inshallah. This special evening will bring together a diverse ummah—guests are encouraged to wear cultural or Islamic attire—as we break bread, reflect, and build toward a stronger, more connected community. This is a family-friendly gathering, with children under 7 eating free, and all are welcome—Muslims and non-Muslim friends and supporters alike.
The evening will feature guest speakers and organizers sharing the impact of Rooted Ummah’s work and vision for the future, alongside a silent auction featuring goods from local vendors. Guests will also have the opportunity to directly support key initiatives, including the 5K for Peace, Ukhti (our new intergenerational sisters program), and Refugee & Revert Services.
This is a sliding scale event ($25 recommended), and no one will be turned away due to cost—those who are able are encouraged to give more to help cover others. Prayer accommodations for Magrib & Isha will be provided, with separate spaces available for Brothers & Sisters. For security purposes, the event location will be shared only with confirmed guests.
