Synopsis
Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority has projected the total construction demand to remain strong at $47 to $53 billion in 2026 and it is driven by a pipeline of major infrastructure and commercial developments. These include the $8 billion Marina Bay Sands expansion by Las Vegas Sands, Changi Airport Terminal 5, and the Jurong Region Line and Cross Island Line extensions.
On projects of this scale and complexity, delay and EOT issues are inevitable. If not properly managed, they frequently escalate into costly disputes for contractors. The commercial stakes are high — exposure to liquidated damages, prolongation costs, termination risks and payment disputes can severely impact cash flow, profitability and long-term business sustainability.
This seminar delivers practical, contractor-focused legal insights on how to manage delay risks, strengthen EOT entitlements, and protect commercial rights throughout the project lifecycle. Participants will gain actionable strategies to reduce dispute exposure, improve claims outcomes, and avoid million-dollar losses on billion-dollar projects.
