The Attic: Second Edition

​Following the success of our inaugural session, Lumina Intellectua returns for the second edition of our monthly reading group.

​Most reading is a private act long before it is a shared one. When we arrive at a text as a group, we find ourselves already shaped by it, and the immediacy of the first encounter with the ideas is lost.

​That is why we will not be announcing a text, only the time and the place. The work itself will be revealed on arrival, and read together in the room. What emerges from such conditions is a different kind of dialectic, one that is both more honest and more demanding. By thinking aloud, you will find that you surprise yourself by the meaning that you uncover.
