Meal Assembly Social #2
QS Volunteer Social, in partnership with Provisions by Valerie. The event itself is a meal box assembly session.
The work is simple, dry-goods assembly line work, not cooking.
We are going to assemble 600 meals over two hours!! (It's easier than you might think).
It's meant to be accessible, social, and useful. The operating target is about 8 volunteers, which is the ideal number for a full two-hour session without the work finishing too quickly.
The deeper purpose is strong and fairly clear: this is not just volunteering for its own sake. This may be a fit for you if you're looking for a sense of belonging, well-being, and to meet people by doing something real together. In other words, useful work first, social connection naturally alongside it.

Provisions by Valerie produces shelf-stable, nutritionally designed meals for people who are unhoused, in transition, or unable to cook. Their meals are positioned as filling a gap that ordinary donated food often misses, especially in terms of nutrition and accessibility.
