The Dear Green Place (to be an Ace) - Canal Walk to the Maryhill Locks

​As most of you know, Glaschu is affectionately called the dear green place. Well, why not hope for good weather and go for a wander along our green spaces?

​We will meet at Glasgow Central, figure out lunch and then take the subway to Kelvinbridge, where the walk starts. This 5 mile route starts along the Kelvin river and turns to the canals towards Maryhill. We will soon see the Locks and some neat spots along the way, then head back along the canals and finally cut through a few streets back to Kelvinbridge. Conveniently, the route will leave us at the West End where I am sure we can find a cafe.
