Recognising Lanarkshire Business is a special event designed to change that.
Taking place at Strathclyde Business Park on Monday 17 August, this session will help local businesses understand how they can put themselves forward for major national recognition, including the King’s Awards for Enterprise — one of the most prestigious awards a UK business can receive.
👑 What You’ll Learn
The session has been organised at the request of the Lord-Lieutenant of Lanarkshire and will give simple, practical guidance on how the awards work.
You will learn about:
• The different King’s Awards categories
• Who can apply
• What makes a strong application
• How to start the process
• Recognition for innovation, international trade, sustainability and promoting opportunity
🎖️ National Honours
The event will also introduce the national honours process, including how individuals can be nominated for honours such as an MBE or OBE.
🤝 Who Should Attend?
This is open to anyone interested in learning more, with a special encouragement for businesses across North and South Lanarkshire to attend.
It will also be a great opportunity to meet local Deputy Lieutenants, understand their role in the community, and ask questions directly.
