Guest Lecture: Dr Margarita Khokhlova: Attosecond Physics
Guest Lecture: Attosecond Physics
Join the KCL Quantum Mechanics Society for our first independent event of the academic year! We are thrilled to kick off our program by hosting an exclusive lecture exploring the ultrafast timescale of electron movement.
Dr Margarita Khokhlova from the KCL Department of Physics will explain how we generate light pulses measuring just an attosecond (a billionth of a billionth of a second!).
Discover what these ultra-short pulses allow us to see inside atoms and molecules, exploring the groundbreaking field behind the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics.
This event is free and open to all students, but Luma tickets are first-come, first-served.
When: Friday, 23 October | 17:00–18:00
Where: STR 7.05, Strand Building, KCL Strand Campus
