Fateme Frootan, PhD is an independent biotechnology scientist and R&D consultant based in France, specialising in synthetic biology, metabolic engineering, and translational biomanufacturing. She holds a PhD in Biotechnology from Yıldız Technical University and serves as a reviewer for The EuroBiotech Journal.
Her career spans both academia and industry, having previously served as R&D Director at Maya Milk and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at NIGEB. Her technical expertise covers structural bioinformatics, precision fermentation, and protein engineering, alongside over four years of specialised research in plant molecular farming, where she focused on optimising duckweed (Lemna minor) as a highly efficient, scalable expression platform for recombinant proteins and vaccine candidates.
