Join us and The New Quo Foundation founder and Anew’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence Christina Blacken in an interactive brainstorming session focused on scaling inclusive IRL communities in New York City and beyond. The New Quo Foundation is a non-profit building a nationwide movement countering division and isolation through free, community-led storytelling events and original media where people unite through their true stories of courage. Their model has been used to build new approaches to leadership and trust-building with over 31,000 people, with each individual’s life story as the building block of this model.
Solution Smithing is a gathering series where an organization or individual advances a solution they’re working through, and we bring together an outstanding group of people for an action-oriented discussion to engage in collective problem-solving. This time around, we’ll focus on ways to help scale Change My Mind, a live storytelling event produced by The New Quo Foundation that unites people in person through their true stories of courage, with live personal storytelling performances and facilitation. Christina will share how the model behind Change My Mind works and we’ll work together to brainstorm how it can scale to other locations and cities while maintaining its core principles. What models for combating loneliness and isolation exist out there, and how could this event and facilitation structure be replicated throughout the country and beyond? How can this solution adapt, change, and be led differently in different places?
