Work, in The Season of Motherhood
In this 1-hour workshop guided by therapist Jaclyn Udell, we’ll explore how the experience of matrescence reshapes our relationship to work: not as a problem to fix, but as a meaningful evolution. Through reflection, journaling, and shared conversation, participants will be invited to notice how the role of work has shifted before and after pregnancy or becoming a mother, and what that shift reveals about their current needs, values, and capacities.
Together, we’ll move beyond narratives of “balance” or “getting back to normal,” and instead name the reality that work, identity, time, energy, and meaning all reorganize during this season of life.
Who This Is For
This workshop is for:
Mothers at any stage—from pregnancy through early or later motherhood
Women navigating changes in career, ambition, identity, or capacity after becoming a parent
Mothers who feel confused, conflicted, or curious about how work fits into their life now
Women who want language for what has changed—without needing to decide what’s next yet
This is not a workshop about solutions or next steps; it’s about orientation.
