About Event

Join us for a special literary afternoon devoted to Franz Kafka, one of the great and strangest writers of the modern age.

We welcome Dublin-born translator Mark Harman – whose acclaimed English versions of Kafka's The Castle, Amerika and Selected Stories have been praised worldwide – will give live readings from Kafka’s work, including the extraordinary “A Report for an Academy”. The readings will be interwoven with reflections on Kafka’s life and language, and also includes an informal conversation with Professor Ronan McDonald, touching on Kafka’s influence on Joyce and Beckett and others.

**FREE EVENT - REGISTRATION REQUIRED**

Don't forget to book a table for our Sunday Roast from 12pm in the bistro or main bar, before heading up to the Members Bar for this insightful afternoon!
