Women in Climate Picnic
Join us for our very first Women in Climate meet-up on Wednesday, June 14th from 6pm to 8:30pm at Woodland Park, Shelter 3 in Seattle, WA hosted by Work on Climate Seattle!
This event is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space for women who are looking for a career transition, advice on a project, or simply want to meet other women with a shared interest in climate.
In our commitment to creating a supportive and welcoming space, we emphasize that this meet-up is fully inclusive of trans women. We recognize and celebrate the diversity within the climate movement, and aim to build bridges and empower each other as we collectively tackle the challenges of climate change.
We are excited to host four women with diverse backgrounds participate in Lightning Talks and breakout sessions:
Karla Brollier, Investing Partner at Goldenrod Ventures and Director of Operations for Patagonia’s Home Planet Fund
Serene Chen, VP of People & Culture at Carbon Direct and Board Member of The Mountaineers
Ash Glover-Ganapathiraju (she/hers), Founder & CEO at Ojaswe Co.
Alma Cardenas: VP of Business Development and Sustainability for Earth Knowledge
While we will not provide alcohol at this event, there likely will be a group of us heading to a nearby brewery after!
We will be providing light snacks, and invite guests to bring a dish. If interested, you can sign up through the register button. In the spirit of sustainability, please bring your own utensils, cup, & plate!

Directions:
I-5 North/South Bound: Take the NE 50th St Exit. Turn left if on I-5 Northbound; right if on I-5 Southbound. Continue on NE 50th St westbound. Cross Stone Way Avenue N. Pass the tennis courts. Make the first right after the tennis courts on Woodland Park Ave North.
