Erotic Poetry Reading with Megan Hartford and JP Greene
EVENT DESCRIPTION
Join us for an intimate evening of poetry, desire, and conversation with authors Megan Hartford and JP Greene as they explore the craft of erotic poetry and read from their latest works.
Hartford's Little Vultures traces a middle-aged woman's sexual awakening through a collection of evocative erotic haikus, drawing on the same curiosity, courage, and embrace of the erotic that shape her own life and writing.
Greene's Tormenta transports readers to a sun-soaked Mexican beach town where an intense connection between two strangers spirals into a love affair that is as irresistible as it is unraveling.
Together, these local poets offer a thoughtful and candid look at writing desire on the page, from fleeting moments of longing to all-consuming passion.

ABOUT Tormenta
Damian is endlessly analytical, a prisoner of his own mind and comfortable in his captivity. Emilia doesn't believe in making promises because people, like the sea, are so beautifully, ceaselessly changeable. When they meet in a quiet Mexican beach town, what begins as desire quickly becomes something far more complicated.
Damian thinks he's falling in love. Emilia falls in love all the time. But something about this feels different. Over the course of two feverish days, beneath a blazing sun, beside an unrelenting sea, they are pulled into a love affair that will unravel them both.
Raw and elemental, Tormenta is a visceral meditation on desire that does not ask permission, and offers no mercy.
