South Asians for Saikat

​Join us for an afternoon celebrating the candidacy of Saikat Chakrabarti, a Democrat for Congress in the CA-11 U.S. House of Representatives race. Hosted at the iconic New Delhi Restaurant, this special gathering will bring together leaders, members, and allies of the South Asian community from across San Francisco to connect, celebrate, and build momentum for the Saikat for Congress campaign. This event is intended for residents of California’s 11th Congressional District who are excited to make their voices heard in this election.

​For decades, New Delhi Restaurant has been a cornerstone of San Francisco’s South Asian community; known not only for its award-winning cuisine but also for its role as a welcoming hub of culture, conversation, and civic engagement. The restaurant is led by legendary chef and restaurateur Ranjan Dey, a beloved figure in the city who has spent over 35 years introducing San Francisco to the richness and diversity of Indian cuisine.

​This event will celebrate Saikat’s campaign while honoring and uplifting the cultural diversity, leadership, and civic engagement of the South Asian community in San Francisco. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect directly with Saikat, hear about his vision for the future, and engage with fellow community members who are passionate about strengthening representation and civic leadership.

​Expect an afternoon filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and delicious bites from one of San Francisco’s most celebrated Indian restaurants. The event will take place from 1pm to 3pm at the New Delhi Restaurant on 160 Ellis Street. Our speaking program will begin at 2pm. We can’t wait to see you there.
