The Long Table: Women in Transition
The Long Table: Women in Transition ✨
Three questions for the in-between
Some questions are interesting to talk about.
Others are sitting right in the middle of your life.
Maybe you’re thinking about leaving a job. Starting something of your own. Changing direction. Trying to make all the different parts of you fit into one working life. Or simply noticing that what used to fit doesn’t anymore.
This is what the Long Table is for.
A two-hour, small-group conversation where we slow down and think things through together.
This time, we’ll gather around three questions that keep coming up in the lives of women in transition:
What if the change you need isn’t improvement — but transformation?
With Natalie LeRoy
What if the next chapter isn’t about becoming a slightly better, tidier version of who you were?
What if it asks you to become something different altogether?
Natalie explored this in our Women in Transition Journal through the idea of transmogrification — transformation into something surprising, where what comes out is categorically different from what went in.
How do you pivot without shrinking yourself into one neat title?
With Maja Grakalić
What happens when you’ve built a career across different skills, identities and interests — but the working world keeps asking you to explain yourself in one line?
How do you change direction without leaving half of yourself behind?
And how do you know when it’s time to stop adapting to a system and build the next thing differently?
How do you know when it’s time to leave?
With Rosi Micallef Bremec
Sometimes leaving doesn’t begin with burnout or a dramatic breaking point.
Sometimes there is simply a moment when you see your work, your worth and your life differently — and you can’t quite unsee it.
We call that the Epiphany Exit.
What happens when ambition hasn’t disappeared at all — it just wants to go somewhere else?
Dina & Fransje, co-founders of The Lady’s Realm, will host and facilitate the table. Plus a small group of women who are also somewhere in the in-between.
You’re welcome to come with one of these questions, bring something else you’re navigating, or simply listen, reflect and think alongside the room.
No spotlight. No requirement to arrive with a polished story.
Not coaching. Not fixing.
Thinking things through together.
Why the Long Table?
Our regular Lady’s Labs are mostly free, one-hour conversations where we explore a shared question together.
The Long Table goes deeper.
The Lab asks: what do we think about this?
The Long Table asks: what does this mean for me?
There is more time. Fewer people. More room for your own situation.
Not fixing. Not performing.
Thinking things through together.
Because sometimes the most useful thing is being in a room where you don’t have to explain why the old answer no longer works.
