⚡️Slow Street Community Potluck: Gathering the Neighborhood on the Slow Street for a Communal Meal
**IMPORTANT: There are two steps to registering:
1) Register here on Luma for approval
2) Complete your registration at https://app.sevenn.co/nopapotluck. Your registration will be approved once complete
Overview
The Slow Street community potluck reimagines what sharing a meal together looks like, taking place on one of our prominent neighborhood resources - the Slow Street. One big long table will be set up in the middle of the street where participants will bring food from home to share.
There will also be a live art piece being created as the event takes place. With input from participants based on the conversation topics at each table, the participants will be able to “submit” their ideas to the artist who will render them artistically to create a mosaic of ideas brought together by the community into one larger piece.
What to Expect
Bring a dish to share and a neighborly spirit.
The Long Table — Arrive to find tables stretching from one end of the slow street to the other, transforming your everyday block into a sprawling open-air dining room.
The Potluck — Share a meal with neighbors, friends, and strangers.
The Living Mural — Watch a blank wall come to life in real time as participants contribute ideas that get painted on throughout the afternoon, becoming a collective portrait of the neighborhood's future.
Parking & Transportation
Public Transportation
Muni Route 5 5R (Fulton Fulton Rapid)
Muni Route 24 (Divisadero)
Muni Route 31 (Balboa)

About the Future of Us Festival
Launching on America's 250th anniversary, the inaugural Future of Us festival is a 10-day celebration of civic imagination and possibility. We're turning community-sourced, expert-crafted visions of the future into art, storytelling, and participatory experiences. With 100+ events spanning every corner of the city (floral labyrinths, speculative future worlds, dance parties with a purpose, and neighborhood meet-ups), it's a living exploration of what a more creative and generative civic culture could feel like. Organized around four themes (Green Futures, Social Futures, Science & Tech Futures, and Media Futures), Future of Us is breaking down the barriers between art, ideas, and each other, and everyone is invited to co-imagine what comes next.
