The evening — The grill going, drinks cold, games out, and the skyline doing what it does in early September. Nothing scheduled after that — this one is the roof, the light, and whoever's standing on it.
The space — The terrace at 14W, six floors up: a cypress hedge along the parapet, wrought-iron tables, and the Flatiron District in every direction. Come up while it's still light. The sun drops behind the water towers just after seven, and those twenty minutes are the whole reason this one is on the roof instead of inside. The penthouse is a step away if the weather turns.
