Estudios de Protocolos es un campo emergente que analiza los protocolos —mecanismos estructurados que coordinan el comportamiento entre personas o máquinas— para entender cómo usarlos de manera más efectiva. Los protocolos no son solo estándares de redes informáticas; también incluyen rituales cívicos, procedimientos de emergencia, consensos en blockchain, tratados climáticos, reglas de etiqueta como el saludo de manos y más.

¿Cómo influyen los protocolos en la forma en que el planeta sigue transformándose? ¿Dónde pueden los protocolos ayudarnos a imaginar futuros más interesantes donde, de otro modo, veríamos callejones sin salida?

Panel I: Cultural Protocols and Politics of AI - Protocols and AI are like evil twins, not in the sense that they are enemies, but that they go hand in hand. Protocols will enable us to use AI more effectively and with better control. Like the early days of electricity were dangerous to workers, AI also has some side effects that must be managed intelligently. What is the relationship between culture, art, and AI? This panel will dive into that question, bringing to bear their experience at the intersection between technology and culture.

Panel II: Planetary Protocols - Every decade, our world becomes more interconnected. In a sense, the world has become much smaller. We're closer together and more tightly coupled than ever before. On the other hand, the world of opportunity and problems has become much larger. How do protocols factor into how the planetary continues to change? Where can protocols create more interesting futures where we might otherwise see dead ends?
