Hack the Track 2026

​Hack the Track is a 24-hour hackathon for students in grades 8-12 focused on building creative solutions for a more sustainable future. Whether you are new to coding, experienced with technology, or just interested in solving real problems, this event is a chance to work with a team, learn new skills, and turn your ideas into something real.

​This year’s theme is sustainability, and teams will create projects in one of three tracks: hardware, software, or sustainable tech. Students can build anything from an app or website to a physical prototype that helps address environmental challenges, improve everyday systems, or support a greener community.

​Participants will receive mentorship, skill-building support, meals throughout the event, and the opportunity to compete for prizes and recognition. Hack the Track is more than a competition. It is a chance to collaborate, meet other students, and create something that can make a real impact.
