IVF & Donor Conception: Managing Hope and Hard Emotions Along Your Journey
"Just think positive."
If you are navigating IVF, IUI, or donor conception, you have heard it — and you have probably nodded along while carrying something no one around you made room to name. The grief that doesn't announce itself. The decision fatigue that doesn't clock out. The way a single baby shower invitation can undo a whole week. Hope and heartache stop taking turns and start living in the same breath.
This is one hour where none of that needs translating.
On Saturday, June 28, Dr. Aleesha Grier-Rogers, Psy.D. — licensed clinical psychologist and a She Leads Here founding coach — leads a 60-minute live workshop on the emotional realities of family-building, from hope to heartache and everything in between. This is not a lecture, and it is not a support group. It is expert guidance from a woman who has spent twenty years doing this work and has lived parts of it herself, built for women who are used to holding everything together and rarely get an hour to set it down.
You will leave with:
A clearer read on the emotional ups and downs that come with IVF, donor conception, and other family-building paths — so the hard days make more sense
Practical strategies for managing anxiety, uncertainty, grief, and decision fatigue between appointments and next steps
A room where you feel seen and far less alone in it
Who this is for:
Black women navigating IVF, IUI, donor conception, gestational surrogacy, or solo motherhood by choice — at any stage of the journey. And the women who love someone walking it and want to understand. If you work in reproductive medicine, women's health, or LGBTQ+ family-building, this is a meaningful hour to share with the people you serve.
A note: This workshop is educational and supportive. It is not therapy or medical advice, and it does not replace care from your own providers.
