@therobotlovesyou sensor (Sam Horn) is an audio engineer and sound artist working in LA, exploring generative interactions within electrical, physical, and biological systems. They manage a native plant nursery in Los Angeles and are currently writing a poetry book. They're devoted to remembering/reimagining what our relationship to the natural world can be, viewing poems as survival manuals to help us get there.

Soft Genes is a research community, started in 2024 by Olivia Stearn and Lera Niemackl, that connects overlapping worlds to foster creative practice that centers biology. Through sharing materials and skills, we aim to enable work that eschews the boundaries of "art" and "science”.
