A New Era of Cooperation: Carrying India's Learnings to the Global South
The session, anchored by Gates Foundation, will explore how solutions developed in India can travel across the Global South, particularly at a time when traditional development financing models are evolving. The discussion will focus on three core questions:
What travels: What enables population-scale systems and innovations to move across borders, and what breaks when they do?
Who inherits: As development programmes transition over time, what mechanisms are needed for sustainable ownership?
What pays for it: What financing models, including blended finance, domestic philanthropy, concessional capital and public investment, can enable long-term adoption?
We will bring together a curated group of 50–60 leaders, including representatives from governments, multilaterals, philanthropy, civil society, technology and ecosystem organisations working on Global South development.
