Oxford Executive Programme 2026 -Financial Assessment of Climate-Related Risks & Sustainability Regulations | Jun 29 - Jun 30
Executive Programme at the University of Oxford
"The Financial Assessment of Climate-Related Risks & Sustainability Regulations" is a one-day executive programme convened at St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford.
Participation Fee
The participation fee is structured based on participant profile and institutional category.
The standard fee is GBP 1,500 per participant, with a preferential rate of GBP 2,000 for two participants from the same institution.
Special rates may be available for public sector institutions and development finance organisations.
The programme is organised by the Oxford Centre for Technology and Development (OCTD).
It brings together a limited cohort of senior leaders from the banking and financial services sector for focused academic engagement and strategic dialogue on the evolving landscape of climate-related financial risk.
The programme is informed by international regulatory developments and emerging global best practice, ensuring participants gain perspective aligned with evolving cross-border financial and supervisory trends.
Prof. Halil Hasar, Director at the Climate Change Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, will be delivering a keynote address at the programme and to participate in the Pre-COP31 Roundtable. Given that the Climate Change Presidency is leading the organisation and agenda of COP31, which will be hosted by Türkiye in Antalya in November 2026, his participation adds a very significant strategic dimension to the Oxford programme.
Fatma Çınar, Global Sustainability & Impact Finance Leader and Deputy General Secretary of the Turkish Participation Banks Association (TKBB), will also join the programme as Opening Keynote Speaker.
As part of the programme, Day 2 will host a dedicated Pre-COP31 Roundtable, designed as a senior executive discussion platform to contribute to agenda-setting ahead of COP31 in Antalya. With Türkiye holding the COP31 Presidency, this Oxford gathering will bring together academic experts, senior international financial leaders, and Turkish financial institutions to exchange views on climate finance priorities, regulatory developments, and potential areas of collaboration ahead of the conference. The roundtable discussions are expected to contribute to a summary note from the Oxford delegation in preparation for COP31.
Purpose
As sustainability regulation moves into binding supervisory frameworks across jurisdictions, climate risk has become a matter of prudential governance and institutional resilience.
This programme provides:
Structured analysis of ISSB and CSRD frameworks
Examination of EU and UK regulatory developments
Quantitative approaches to physical and transition risk
Portfolio stress testing methodologies
Impact measurement and ESG integration
Strategic reflection on the role of financial institutions in the net-zero transition
The format combines faculty-led sessions with moderated executive discussion.
Participants will receive formal certification upon completion.
