Human-Centred AI for a Democratic Revolution
Overview
As digital technologies play an increasingly important role in democratic participation, ensuring they are designed to empower people, build trust and support inclusive decision-making is more important than ever. This session explores the principles of human-centred AI for democracy and how technology can be developed to strengthen deliberative processes.
The session will be led by Isabella Roberts, founder of SAAFE and PhD Candidate at the University of Southampton. She will introduce SAAFE, a set of human-centred principles for the design and implementation of deliberative technologies (delib-tech), developed through a global incubator bringing together democratic practitioners and technology developers to help shape more inclusive and effective democratic innovation.

Who is the EI Network?
A global community for practitioners, leaders, and innovators transforming AI from concept to human benefit. Once a month, we gather for real conversations led by community members sharing their work, challenges, and insights. No polished presentations, just practitioners, leaders, and innovators discussing what's actually happening in the field.
