About Event

The May BEA Monthly Exchange will be focused on modernizing the electric grid. Meg Howard, Senior Program Director of the Net Zero Grid Division at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, will present about how the electricity grid is built and maintained and the link between grid modernization and high electricity prices. She will explain opportunities to control these costs and enable clean energy technologies through distributed resources and load flexibility. The presentation will be followed by plenty of time for Q&A and participant discussion!

The Monthly Exchange is an interactive forum to encourage peer learning and shared problem-solving around current opportunities and challenges to help communities take effective action and prioritize strategies that support residents most impacted by high energy costs.

The Building Electrification Accelerator (BEA) is a nonprofit, no-cost network working towards a Commonwealth of sustainable, resilient, and healthy buildings, affordable and attainable for all. We support local efforts by connecting participants with resources, model programs, funding, and one another.
