Treat every hire like an executive hire? | Talent Meetup @Flinn.ai

​One idea has been doing the rounds: every hire should feel like an executive hire. Most recently Cursor’s Head of Talent shared this on a Lenny episode. Full disclosure: We love it, but are not 100% sure what it means for us at our current stage.

​We want to unpack this with someone who has seen dozens of roles and hundreds of candidates and battle test it for the startup context. The goal is to distill some principles and concrete actions that founders, operators, Heads of Talent and People leaders can bring to their teams the day after the meetup.

​James is a Partner and Practice Leader at Riviera Partners, one of the best search firms worldwide, and has placed countless CTOs, VPs of Data and has been the Head of the AI and ML practice. He is also one of the best conversation partners EVER.
