Solution Smithing: Innovations between community-based nonprofits and healthcare systems, with The Birthing Place

​We're calling all social entrepreneurs and nonprofits interested or interacting with our healthcare systems (and even those that don't!) to brainstorm novel ways of delivering care. There is an access gap for a range of care people need during their health lifespan, and insurance often fails to provide these effectively. Community-based nonprofits often step in to fill the gap, but oftentimes their solutions are sidelined for already-established (or outdated) types of care. If you could reinvent the relationship between community-based nonprofits and our healthcare system, what would you do? This can run the gamut from marketing innovations to novel business model structures.

​For this iteration of Solution Smithing, The Birthing Place is advancing this challenge they’re working through, and we're bringing together an outstanding group of people (you!) for an action-oriented discussion and collective problem-solving. Not a panel, nor a pitch, but a 'doing' gathering.
