Gender and Outcome-Based Finance: Mobilizing Capital for Women-Centred Climate Solutions
Thursday, June 25, 2026 | 13:30–15:30 BST
Building Centre, 26 Store Street, London
Followed by a networking reception.
Overview
Climate finance systems increasingly recognize gender inclusion as important, yet women—particularly rural, Indigenous, and grassroots women—remain significantly underfinanced as leaders of climate solutions. While women are driving innovation in adaptation, regenerative agriculture, forest restoration, clean energy, and resilient local economies, financial systems continue to treat them primarily as beneficiaries rather than investors, entrepreneurs, producers, and climate leaders.
This session will explore how climate and blended finance systems can move beyond inclusion toward structural transformation. It will bring together leaders from climate finance, impact investing, development finance, and women-led organizations to discuss how investing in women generates stronger climate, economic, and resilience outcomes.
The discussion will build on emerging evidence and investment trends, including research from Convergence on gender-responsive blended finance for climate adaptation.
