Whatever next? From the book to The Human Gap with Lisa Woodall
Whatever Next? From the Book to The Human Gap
Every transformation plan has two realities running in parallel: the one on paper, with its roadmap and architecture, and the one people are actually living, what they believe and do, day to day. That distance is what Lisa Woodall calls The Human Gap, and it’s why so much change looks good on paper and never sticks.
In this fireside chat, Lisa joins Maria Raymond to work through where that thinking started, what she’s learned since in conversations with transformation leaders and practitioners, and what leaders can do differently on Monday morning.
We’ll cover:
The gap between the transformation plan and the lived reality of change, and why it’s the real reason most programs stall.
The Human Lenses of Transformation, Reflect, Reimagine, Reframe, Rewire, Reconnect, and how leaders use them to see the gap, name it, and close it.
What’s changed in Lisa’s thinking since Whatever Next? was published, drawing on conversations with transformation leaders and practitioners, and now captured at The Human Gap (thehumangap.co.uk).
Practical takeaways leaders can apply the day after the session.
About Lisa Woodall
Lisa has spent 25+ years on the client side of transformation, from an industrial placement at IBM through senior roles at Zurich Insurance, Chief Enterprise Architect at Ordnance Survey, and Global Head of Discovery and Design at WPP. That experience became her book, Whatever Next?, and now The Human Gap, where she helps organisations see what’s really happening inside change and close the distance between plan and practice.
Format: Fireside chat with Maria Raymond, followed by an open Q&A.
