Stand for Freedom - 17.76-mile Flag Chain
Stand for Freedom 2026
Be Part of History. Stand for the Flag. Stand for Freedom.
On September 12, 2026, thousands of Utahns will gather along the Murdock Canal Trail from Lehi to Provo to create a living Flag Chain celebrating America's 250th Anniversary.
Our Flag is the symbol that unites us across backgrounds, beliefs, and generations. It represents the freedoms we enjoy, the sacrifices made to preserve them, and the responsibility we share to protect them.
Invite your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to join you for a morning of patriotism, community, and celebration.
By reserving your place with a Flag Kit, you'll help create a powerful visual tribute that will be captured through aerial video, photography, and media coverage—showing that Utah County honors the Flag and stands for freedom.
Designed for Everyone
This family-friendly event is open to people of all ages and abilities. The trail has been divided into eight convenient check-in sections, with priority placement available for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and families with young children.
