About Event

This Event Is For Connecticut School Districts & Workforce Leaders*

Join us for a virtual discussion with Connecticut school district leaders, workforce organizations, chambers of commerce, and employer partners on the future of work-based learning, internships, career readiness, and workforce development programs.

We'll begin with a brief overview of how Starteryou is helping districts manage student placements, employer partnerships, hour tracking, and reporting. The remainder of the session will be an open conversation focused on the challenges and opportunities facing Connecticut's education and workforce ecosystem.

As career-connected learning and workforce development initiatives continue to expand across the state, we're looking to learn directly from the educators, workforce leaders, and employers leading this work every day.

Discussion Topics

  • How are students currently finding internships, apprenticeships, and work-based learning opportunities in your communities?

  • What challenges exist in connecting schools, employers, and workforce organizations?

  • How are districts and workforce partners measuring student outcomes and program impact?

  • What are the biggest barriers to building and maintaining strong employer partnerships?

  • How can Connecticut better align education, workforce development, and regional economic needs?
