Most MIS education shows you the procedure.

Very little of it shows you how surgeons actually decide. When to fixate and when not to. Why the same surgery gives two surgeons two different outcomes. What it really takes to move cases out of the hospital OR and into your own office.

That is what this evening is about.

I'll open with a short state of the union on MIS: where it stands right now, what is working, and where I see surgeons get stuck. Then I hand it over to surgeons who are doing this work every week. Real cases. The pearls they wish they had known sooner. What they got wrong along the way. Then your questions, live.

Real cases. Real decisions. Nothing you can't use on Monday.

What we'll cover

  • The state of MIS. Where the field is now and where surgeons stall

  • Same surgery, different outcomes. What actually separates the two

  • The first-ray question. Fixate or not, and how experienced MIS surgeons decide

  • From the OR to your office. What changes when you bring procedures in-house

  • Guided practice versus watching. What hands-on training gave our panel that videos did not

  • Live Q&A with the panel

Your panel

Dr. TJ Ahn, DPM (host)
Board-certified podiatric surgeon with more than 25 years in practice. He has trained more than 1,200 clinicians and surgeons and still sees patients three days a week.

Dr. Alex Kim, DPM
Owner of AVID Foot & Ankle Center in Texas. Fellowship-trained in foot and ankle reconstruction and an Assistant Instructor in the MIFAS program.

Dr. Tom Lyman, DPM
Founder of Motion Focused Podiatry in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Board-certified, with more than 12 years in private practice, hospital-based care, and surgery. Holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology.

Dr. Carmen Naranjo Ruiz, DP (special segment from Spain)
Co-Head Instructor in Podiatry at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She teaches minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery in the PhD program at the Universidad Católica de Valencia.

More surgeons to be announced.

Who this is for

  • Foot and ankle surgeons with an MIS foundation who want more confidence in their decision-making

  • Surgeons still deciding how they feel about the first ray

  • Surgeons operating in hospitals or surgery centers who are thinking about in-office procedures

  • Open surgeons who are curious about MIS and want the honest version from people who have made the move

One more thing

Stay past the halfway mark.

I'll share something with the surgeons on this webinar that I haven't announced anywhere else. It won't be in an email and it won't be on social media. It's only for people registered for this webinar.

See you on the 4th.
