Alumni visit to the Met
Join the Oxford Alumni Association of New York for an informal visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art!!*
We will meet inside the met near the coat check (not in the queue). If you are running late please message Vanshika at 1 (917) 254-5105 and we will help you locate us.
The Ashmolean’s ancient statue of the god Min is on loan to the Met as part of their Divine Egypt exhibition. This group visit is the perfect occasion for alumni and friends to gather, visit the museum, and reminisce on Oxford's incredible historical collections. Please note that this is not a guided tour so attendees are welcome to split from the group/move at their leisure. After the walk, we may grab coffee nearby.
This is a follow-up to an incredibly successful event with Dr Xa Sturgis, CBE, Director of the Ashmolean Museum, and Holly Peterson, Director of Alumni Engagement, on October 29.
*Notes: Attendees are welcome to bring friends, and will be asked to purchase their own tickets (free for NYC residents). We ask that attendees purchase tickets in advance via this link to avoid queues: https://engage.metmuseum.org/admission?promocode=59557&_gl=1*1x9lovs*_gcl_au*MTEzNTEyMzU2OC4xNzYyMjk1OTY4*_ga*MTM0MTYyNTQ0My4xNzYyMjk1OTY4*_ga_Y0W8DGNBTB*czE3NjIyOTU5NjgkbzEkZzEkdDE3NjIyOTYwNTIkajU2JGwwJGgw
