A pop-up neighbourhood in Western Australia, for creative and civic builders to launch Freo Neuhaus into the future as a network society and local institution.
In collaboration with Arrayah, Freo locals and global Network Society builders, we’re holding a two-week working residency for people who want to build the conditions for human creativity to prosper, together, in a motivating environment.
We’re turning a patch of Fremantle into a live-in lab for artists, founders, technologists, and civic-minded doers. People who aren’t waiting for permission - they just need the right space, time, and alignment to push their work forward.
Freo Neuhaus draws on Australia’s history of the School of Arts and Mechanics’ Institutes - civic spaces created during past industrial revolutions to help people adapt through learning and making - and carries forward the Bauhaus purpose of merging art with tech.
We’re creating space not just to build things, but to protect and encode the conditions for human creativity: imagination, agency, and the ability to influence the tools we live with.
The way Arrayah.city does it:

where health is built in by default, morning workouts, hikes, sunset meditations.

This Freo Neuhaus launch is powered by Arrayah pop-up residency builders who create intentional spaces to break out of routine and build toward something better. As a pilot for Freo Neuhaus, this is just the beginning.
You’ll be co-living and collaborating with 50+ locals and global contributors, sharing a rhythm of projects, peer learning, and possibility.
No hierarchy. No rigid schedule. Just turn up to make your work real, and develop your ideas into actionable blueprints for what the future you want can look like.
