The Show
Experience phenomenal footwork and a genre-breaking celebration of movement. Originally born from “a little room,” a short duet created in December 2022 by Ephrat Asherie and Michelle Dorrance, this reimagined production brings together an ensemble of performers rooted in street, club, and social dances — from house, breaking, hip hop, and tap dance to Chicago footwork, Detroit jit, litefeet, Memphis jookin, and body percussion.
With original music by Donovan Dorrance and live percussion by world-class drummer John Angeles, The Center Will Not Hold marks the launch of Dorrance Dance Productions, supporting the development and touring of new works that deepen the connection between tap dance and its lineage. Expect a fusion of rhythm, culture, and movement in this groundbreaking performance.
