Completion Cafe
Hosted by members, to serve our community and work together to.... GET. IT. DONE. ✅
Join us at informal spaces - Oakland, in the afternoons each week to collectively complete the tedious work we all know we have, and DO NOT yet love.
The kick-off session is hosted by Tina Renschen, founder of Heartstrings Digital Organizing, who will host and support us in a simple series of focused time blocks, with quiet cheer-leading and a small dopamine menu of prizes for finishing THE THING.
Bring 2 Tasks -(note: they can both be part of the same "Project"):
1 relatively easy and approachable task to get that first small win, get settled in, grease the wheels, and gain some momentum (1st "sprint" will be 15 min - your chance to say "That task took me 3 years and 15 minutes to complete!)").
Bring a slightly larger task that you could finish in the remaining 90 minutes of our Completion Cafe. Tina will be on hand to help you narrow down your task into bite-sized chunks if needed to complete it, or help define what does "Done" look like, if it seems unending. (I've certainly "been there!")
Each Win will be rewarded with a dopamine prize of your choosing from a selection we will have on hand.
We'll all be on hand for some community energy to cheer each other on!
At the top of each hour, we will pause and Weihaur or another coach will lead us in for a brief 5 min exercise to gather our thoughts, reset if discouraged. And then, we'll get back to work to focus on that getting that THING DONE! 🎯
Snacks and Beverages will be available keep the brain well at ease.
