SAIPH Volunteer Orientation

​How do you govern a technology as powerful and novel as AI?

Safe AI Philippines (formerly AI Safety Diliman) is looking for volunteers to assist with the organization’s goal of talent development, community building, and institutional engagement, and we're opening multiple volunteer roles across different lanes including (but not limited to) operations, fundraising, partnerships, cand communications.

We're holding an orientation for anyone interested in providing assistance to the organization. We'll be going through 1) who we are, 2) what we've built so far, 3) where our direction is headed, and 4) what we ask of prospective volunteers, plus some FAQs. There are maybe a few dozen people in this country working seriously on AI safety, and we want that number to be higher.

You do not need an AI safety background to attend, although prior engagement and knowledge are helpful. Everyone—students, mid-career professionals, people between roles, anyone curious about the field—is welcome to attend.
