Flip the Switch Hackathon

​Flip the Switch is a 4-day online hackathon by WeMakeDevs and DevTools Academy, powered by Switch AI. Take an AI agent you already use, like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or OpenCode, connect it to Slack, Discord, Teams or Mattermost with Switch, and build a workflow where it gets real work done alongside people. It could be an agent that triages bug reports for your team, or something personal or creative you'd use every day.

• ​Kickoff livestream: Monday, Nov 2, 3:30 PM UK time (9 PM IST)

• ​Teams: Solo or up to 4 people

• ​Entry: Free

​$10,000 prize pool

• ​Best Business Workflow: $2,000

• ​Best Personal or Creative Workflow: $2,000

• ​Best Core Contribution: $100 for each top pull request to Switch's open source core

• ​Code with Wispr: $500 for the best project built by voice with Wispr Flow

• ​Best Blog: AirPods 5

• ​#HowISwitch: Logitech mechanical keyboards for the top 5 posts

• ​Swag for 20 random projects, and a certificate for everyone who submits

​What you'll need

​Switch Console, Docker and an AI coding agent you already have access to. Switch is free and open source, and the quickstart takes about 10 minutes. Mattermost comes bundled, so you don't need a company workspace to build.
