Join us for an exclusive preview of two new short films and the post-screening conversation with their director Lara Czernecki and the psychologist host Zsofia Nyul.
🎞️In Verified, set in a near-future Britain where a female survivor's testimony isn't enough to prove abuse, Peter is asked to speak. His hesitation is the film's real subject, and it shows us the pain of his silent moral dilemma.
🎞️In Your Choice to Leave, the unspoken takes a softer, sadder form. On their last night at boarding school together, Daniel and Max talk around the goodbye they can't face… It's a story about how we sometimes protect ourselves from grief by refusing to name it, even as it's already happening.
Two very different films, one shared question, and a live discussion where the viewer is invited to reflect, connect, and process together what the films brought up in each of us.

About your host:
I’m Zsófi, a psychologist, screen industry mental health consultant, and the founder of PsyCurious and Psynema.
I work in private practice, and on film sets, where I support cast and crew through heavy scenes, challenging characters and the pressure of telling difficult stories. I’m passionate about cinema and about psychology, and Psynema is where the two meet.
My goal is simple: to bring people together offline, away from the digital screens, scrolling and constant distractions, for a shared, mindful experience. We watch a film together, then reflect and talk about it openly, with a little psychological guidance, so the conversation goes beyond “did you like it?”. And we may as well learn something about ourselves along the way.
