​🌳 ECTA Hike: Sonian Forest

​Fancy escaping Brussels for a few hours and getting some fresh air? 🌿

​Join Bogdan and Alex, former Blue Book trainees and current European Commission staff members, for a hike through the Sonian Forest, a beautiful green space just outside the city and a great opportunity to meet fellow trainees in a more relaxed setting.

• ​📍 Meeting point: Hippodroom van Bosvoorde, near the golf areas

• ​📏 Distance: approximately 9–10 km

• ​⏱️ Duration: around 2.5–3 hours, depending on the group’s pace

• ​💪 Difficulty: easy to moderate

​The route is mostly on dry, accessible paths, but some sections may become muddy or slippery depending on the weather, so comfortable shoes suitable for walking are recommended.

​🍎 What to bring: some snacks (fruit, etc.) and whatever you may need to stay comfortable during the walk.

​Getting there: participants are responsible for arranging their own transport to and from the meeting point.

​The hike is organised voluntarily in Bogdan and Alex’s personal time, and participation is entirely voluntary.
