Salute to Service · Veterans Eve
Honor the service. Carry it forward.
On the eve of Veterans Day, America House is gathering people around purpose, respect, and a commitment to continued service.
We honor those who have served, those who continue to serve, and the example they set for the future. We also ask something of ourselves: what responsibility are we willing to take on now?
This afternoon is for veterans, service members, families, and anyone who feels a higher calling—a mission they are genuinely working to bring into the world. Military service is not a requirement. Respect for those who have served is.
The spirit of the afternoon
Honor the example: reflect on the people whose courage, care, and sacrifice have shaped us.
Meet the missions: share work that serves others, listen with respect, and find people who can help.
Carry service forward: leave with one concrete commitment you are willing to act on.
Bring a mission, or an open heart
You do not need a finished project or a perfect answer. Bring something you care about, a useful skill, or the willingness to listen. If someone you loved had a mission they did not get to finish, you are welcome to consider carrying that flag forward—at your own pace, without sharing a private story.
